Messages go to David, who makes Moonroof.

It helps to include

  • Your state
  • Your iPhone model and iOS version
  • The Version line from Moonroof’s Settings
  • What you tapped and what happened

Please don’t send your log or your teen’s details.

Move the log to a new iPhone

  1. On the old iPhone, open Moonroof’s Settings and check that Copy in iCloud is on. Tap Save a copy now.
  2. Sign in to the same Apple Account on the new iPhone and install Moonroof.
  3. Open Moonroof and choose Bring it back.

Not using iCloud? Save a full copy of the log as a file from Settings, move the file to the new iPhone, then choose Bring back a saved copy on Moonroof’s welcome screen. The same option is in Settings, but there it replaces the log already on that iPhone.

Get the full app back after reinstalling

Open Settings in Moonroof, tap Get the full app, then Restore purchase. Use the Apple Account that bought it. Refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Fix or remove a drive

Open the drive in the logbook and tap Edit drive to correct it. Moonroof keeps a note of what changed. To take a drive off the log, tap Delete drive at the bottom of its page. A finished drive asks you to press and hold to confirm. Once deleted, it leaves every total.

Add a drive you forgot to time

Tap the plus button in the logbook. Enter when the drive started and when it ended, or how long it lasted. It’s saved as a Manual entry.

Delete everything

In Settings, tap Delete all data. That removes every learner, adult and drive from the iPhone. If there’s a copy in iCloud, Moonroof asks whether to delete it too. Deleting the app on its own doesn’t remove the iCloud copy.

Report a rule that looks wrong

Email support@moonroofapp.com with your state and a link to the official page. Your state’s motor vehicle agency has the final word.
