Before the road test
- One year on the permitThe permit is held 12 months, unless the learner is 17 or older.
- Minimum age16 years old
- Clean year on the permitA DUI or moving-violation conviction restarts the 12 months.
- Signed road test waiver affidavitRequired under 17. A parent, teacher, or guardian swears to 50 hours and a year on the permit.
- School attendance certificateBring a Certification of Attendance from the school, dated within 30 days.
- Notarized applicationUnder 17, both parents with custody sign the licence application in front of a notary.
